So there’s this so-called “threat” from the EU that billions of trade would be lost if we pass the Death Penalty Bill. Bullshit. And itong mga political commentators sa Pilipinas are all pussies and promoting an attitude of hungry-for-bones dog attitude. Our country isn’t someone’s bitchbaby. What we should be doing is to RE-NEGOTIATE our trade deals to be at par with countries WITH DEATH PENALTY. Come on, EU imports from Vietnam at least 4 x of what they import from us! And Vietnam is a SOCIALIST COUNTRY, HAS DEATH PENALTY, AND HAS VERY LOW HUMAN RIGHTS RECORDS!

What the hell is this hypocrisy EU? Really? You are threatening our country of cancelling tariffs because of the death penalty? Your greatest mistake Europe is educating me. You’ll now get a taste of that education.

Well, let’s see how the EU-Philippine trade compares with EU trade with countries with death penalties.

The attached table represents the amount of EU imports from countries that have death penalties (red) vs amount of EU imports from the Philippines from 2014-2016. All I can say is, despite not having a death penalty, EU-Philippine Trade is already VERY, VERY low compared with EU’s trade with countries that have death penalties.

AMOUNT OF EU IMPORTS (GOODS) 2014-2016 TOTAL
IN BILLIONS OF EURO

China – 997,3
Japan – 182,9
Gulf Region – 133
India – 115,9
Vietnam – 85,3
Malaysia – 64,7
Thailand – 58,4
Singapore – 55,3
Indonesia – 44,3
Philippines – 19,3
Pakistan – 17,9

China to Pakistan ALL have death penalty. So EU, please just stop treating my country as your pussy wagon. You are as hypocritical as the Americans you call trash.

(*this is a repost with correction. In the earlier version, the data on the Philippines reflected the amount of EU Imports (Services))
