One of President Rodrigo Duterte’s staunchest social media defenders reminded his fellow DDS (Duterte Diehard Supporters) not to expect to get any reward or credit for supporting of the President.
Speaking before a gathering of Duterte’s followers from all over the globe, which also included PNP head Gen. Ronald dela Rosa and SSS Commissioner Pompee La Viña, Atty. Bruce Rivera reiterated that they are doing this “for love of country” and because “they trust the President.” All other considerations are not important.
“All of us here are equals. If you came here thinking that you deserve more credit because you did more for the President, then it would have been better if you did not come at all,” Atty. Rivera said in a mixture of english and tagalog.
The meeting, which was attended from DDS Global leaders and representatives from the United States, Japan, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Sweden, among others was organized as a thanks giving for the victory of Duterte in the presidential elections last year.
There will also be a gathering of supporters at the Crocodile Park – scene of the Duterte’s historic miting de avance – on Saturday, August 12.
