Duterte orders task force on Marawi rehab

DAVAO CITY, July 4, 2017 — President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered the creation of an inter-agency task force for the recovery, reconstruction, and rehabilitation of Marawi City and nearby affected localities.

President Duterte made the order through Administrative Order No. 03, signed June 28.

Task Force Bangon Marawi is headed by Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana and vice-chaired by Public Works and Highways secretary Mark Villar.

The members include around 20 agencies that would assess the measures needed to rebuild Marawi after the siege.

Within the task force are five subcommittees: reconstruction, housing, health and social welfare, business and livelihood, and peace and order.
