Food security pact signed between Philippines, Myanmar

  • DAVAO CITY, March 20, 2017 — The Department of Agriculture of the Philippines signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with officials from Myanmar.

The event was witnessed by President Rodrigo Duterte.

The signing between both parties was held at the Presidential Palace in Nay Pyi Taw on March 20, 2017.

The signatories of the MOU are the Philippine DA and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

Duterte, during his departure speech in Davao City, said that the Philippines will be pursuing several strategic partnerships with Myanmar and Thailand during the visits this week.
