PASAY CITY, October 3, 2018 — Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go today thanked former Presidential Communications Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson for her service to the administration of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
(We thank her for her service to our President for the past years as Assistant Secretary of PCOO [Presidential Communications Operations Office] and for communicating news to filipinos globally.)
Uson was one of Duterte’s biggest supporters when the then-Davao City mayor was running for President in 2016. She was appointed Assistant Secretary at the PCOO in May 2017.
(She has really shown her support and loyalty to our President since the campaign period. The President will never forget this, and I am personally thankful to her for showing her loyalty to the President.)
In an ambush interview here today, Go said the President had already been informed of Uson’s resignation letter. He added the people should wait for the President’s formal acceptance of the resignation.
Most likely ay tatanggapin ito ng ating Pangulo,” said Go.
(I already handed over her resignation letter to the President last night, and ASec Mocha asked that she be allowed to make the announcement. Let us wait for the President’s formal acceptance of her resignation. Most likely the President will accept it.)
Go said he wishes Uson the best of luck in achieving her future plans and endeavors.
Ngayon na isa na siyang private citizen, sana mapalakas pa niya ang citizen participation laban sa criminality, corruption at droga,” he said in a radio interview.
(I hope she continues the fight. Now that she is a private citizen, I hope she could strengthen citizen participation against criminality, corruption, and illegal drugs.)
