Heart Evangelista in our own “Crazy Rich Asian”

By July this year, Heart Evangelista was already hinting how she could be collaborating with Kevin Kwan, author of the wildly successful novel ‘Crazy Rich Asians’. The book, turned into a feature film starring Constance Wu, highlights the secret and lavish lives of Asian multi-millionaires.

In a Harper’s Bazaar feature that snuck up on everyone, Kwan spent time with the real life Crazy Rich Fashion Girls of Asia.he Asian scene and saw how they live their lavish lives.

The feature, by international fashion authority Harper’s Bazaar, gave spotlight to the Philippine’s own Heart Evangelista as a darling of the emerging fashion world and a patron of the couture arts.

Harper’s Bazaar magazine dubbed Evangelista was one of the world’s real life “Crazy Rich Asians” while simultaneously feauturing her patronage of fashion hitting Paris runways.

In the video, the 33-year old icon Evangelista is featured alongside three other Asian fashion influencers, namely Feiping Chang and sisters Michelle and Rachel Yeoh, all alongside narration by the Asian affluence authority Kwan. The feature heavily focuses on the reaction of the fashion women to the collections showed by haute couture designers during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week 2018 last Juley.

Heart’s initial suggestion of the collaboration came via an Instagram post on July 2 this year. In her July teaser post, she stood with Kwan by her side, and from the photo, many fans speculated that the two might be working on a a fashion feature together.

The Kapuso star wrote in the caption of her photo with Kwan “Lovely company on my first evening in Paris…”

Kwan, a Singaporean-American novelist who claims that the truth behind his stories is 150%, described Evangelists as a “modern-day incarnation of Audrey Hepburn.” He also asked theKapuso star how she came to personally ‘vandalize’ her Birkin bags.
