Young actress Liza Soberano is known for her hit movies, starring in primetime TV shows, and for being one of the most trusted endorsement faces. But the 20 year old Kapamilya star doesn’t seem satisfied with just that, and is adding another hyphen to her title, this time of ‘student’.
On July 21, Southville International School and Colleges released a statement on their Facebook page confirming that Soberano has officially enrolled in their INNOVE Education Solution program. The other half of her celebrity love team, Enrique Gil, is also enrolled at Southville.
Under INNOVE, Soberano’s responsibilities as a student would include reporting to school at least once a week for written exams, finishing hands-on exercises, and participating in discussions with her instructors. She’ll still be able to pursue her other passions and continue on in her promising acting career, but now she needn’t give up on her other dreams as well.
Soberano, a Star Magic talent, has always been vocal of the value she places on her education and academic goals. She completed high school in 2014 at St. Patrick’s School in Quezon City, graduating with special recognition honors. Afterwards, she shared on DZBB’s OMJ, a radio show hosted by Ogie Diaz and MJ Felipe, that a dream of hers is to one day become a lawyer.
Despite her busy schedule and demanding life as a celebrity, she’s still pursuing this dream. She’ll be taking up BS Psychology at Southville International School affliliated with Foreign Universities (SISFU). She plans on having this course serve as her pre-law program.
Soberano shared, “What I really want to do is psychology. I wanted it to be my pre-law, but right now I’m kind of like more on the psychology side instead of the law side.”
