Pasay City councilor ambushed…again

Southern Poilce District Director CSupt Tomas Apolinario has confirmed the identity of the SM Southmall shooting as Borbie Rivera, a Pasay councilor.

This is the second time that Rivera has been ambushed in the span of two months. He had earlier been wounded in an attack along Macapagal avenue in June 23, 2017.

Rivera is the chairman of Barangay 112 and president of the Liga ng mga Barangay in the city.

In the June ambush, Rivera had just come out of a bar at past 4 a.m. when two unidentified assailants shot at his vehicle. The case is still under investigation by the police.

Rivera was rushed to the hospital following the shooting at SM.
