A festive atmosphere is gripping the country in the wake of the spectacular Opening Ceremonies for the 2019 SEA Games. If you haven’t seen the live stream yet, you should check out the official 2019 SEA Games page to witness the splendor. Even President Duterte has been caught up in the joy of the hosting.

During the Opening of the Games, the chief executive was caught swaying, clapping, and dancing to the tune of “Manila”, an iconic song popularized by the equally iconic band Hotdog. The Philippine Arena was packed to the brim with fans and sports enthusiasts eager to witness history, but that didn’t stop the President from having himself a good time. Unfortunately, it was not a budots budots beat.

President Duterte was caught on camera dancing while Hotdog sang “Hinahanap hanap kita Manila. Ang ingay mong kay sarap sa tenga.”

Manila was played during the parade of Filipino athletes. The joyful beat also captured Senator Bato dela Rosa’s ear and the neophyte legislator also gave in to the dance.

President Duterte opened the ceremonies with a formal speech later on. The

Opening Ceremonies were held at the PHilippine Arena, Bulacan. The Games will be held until December 11.
