A 19 year old high school student was arrested by Zamboanga City’s anti-drug enforcers. P544,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized from her.

According to Maj. Mark Anthony Karanain, Police Station 6 chief, the arrested suspect has been identified as Adamay Sipin, alias Ajing.

Sipin was apprehended during a buy-bust operation conducted by anti-drug personnel at around 2 pm on Wednesday at Armor Village, Barangay San Jose-Gusu.

During the buy-bust, over half a million pesos worth of suspected shabu was recovered from Sipin’s possession. This was packed into 20 heat-sealed sachets. Also with the student was a bundle of the buy-bust money, which was topped with one genuine P1000 bill.

According to Maj. Karanain, the suspect had been under their surveillance for a few days before they staged the buy-bust to end her illegal drug trade activities.

Sipin will be charged with violation of
Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. She is currently being detained in Police Station 6.
