Wushu champ Agatha Wong has scored the second early gold medal for Team Philippines in the 30th Southeast Asian Games through her impressive performance in the taolu taijiquan event. Wong won her gold early this Sunday morning at the World Trade Center.
Wong performed fifth out of nine athletes in her event. She scored a 9.67, edging out her competition and earning her the highest honors. It’s no surprise that she dominated her sport though – back in Kuala Lumpur’s hosting of the 2017 SEA Games, Wong also ruled the event.
This marks the second Gold of many to come for Team PH. Other winner, John Chicano, secured his medal early for the triathlon event.
