The global annual celebration of music brings together musicians of all genres. The festivals also bring together the vibrant art scenes and cultures of host cities. This year, the Philippines will celebrate Fête de la Musique with main and pocket stages in Makati, Baguio, Manila, and Laguna. The festivities are scheduled for June 23, for the Makati stages, June 29 for the Intramuros Main Stage, and June 30 for both Baguio and Laguna.

The 2018 festival is the 24th of it’s kind in the Philippines. Originally a French celebration, the festival offers a chance to see a variety of different kinds of music performed live with minimal fees or even free admission to venues. The festival’s founder, Maurice Fleuret described the event to be like “the music [is] everywhere and the concert nowhere”.
