The Philippine National Police (PNP) confiscated Php 4.5 million worth of firearms in Bacolod City earlier today.

In a press conference at Camp Crame, PNP director general Ronald dela Rosa said the initial information that led to the seizure of the firearms and the arrest of the suspect came from the US Department of Homeland Security.

Information was also released that some of the guns that were confiscated would have been used in an assassination attempt on President Duterte.

Responding to the threat, Presidential spokesperson Ernie Abella allayed fears by saying that Duterte “eats death threats for breakfast.”
