Davao City Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte has started distribution of food packs to residents in the first district amid the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) threat.
The indigents, single mothers, and PUJ drivers were given priority as they were the most affected by the region-wide lockdown.
Duterte said the distribution will be done every four days.
In other barangays Duterte has tapped into his food for work program. The funds will initially be released to the enrolees and the work will just follow.
Ang sa uban barangay kay ang akoang food for work program ang akoa gamiton nga ma release na ang kwarta sunod na lang ang work paghuman ani tannin. More or less 100 pax per barangay,” Duterte said.
Duterte has also provided the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) with a 1 month supply of protective suits, face masks, gloves, and googles.
The distribution was done sans fanfare.
“Mapasalamaton mi na ming action dayon si Congressman Pulong sa kresis karon”– people from the barangay said
