DAVAO CITY, September 8, 2016 — Mayor Sara Duterte has increased the reward for information on the identity of the Roxas night market bomber from P2 million to P3 million.

The mayor made the announcement in an interview with reporters earlier today.

She had initially offered a P1 million to anyone who can give information on the name and current location of the bomber and another P1 million to anyone who can deliver that person to the government.

In the same interview, Sara said the city will be erecting a memorial to the victims of the September 2 blast.

She said the memorial marker is still in the planning stage and will be created by a commissioned artist.

“I already directed the city administrator to commission a Davao artist to design the permanent memorial marker,” she said.

Sara said no budget has been earmarked for the marker yet. “Nasa design stage so temporarily yung cordon na muna na ginawa para as memorial marker,” she said.

Meanwhile, the City Information Office (CIO) today said the city government has put up a hotline for information on the suspects of the blast.

The number is 0917-DUTERTE or 0917-3883783.
